Angry Car undrivable. Limp home mode?

I have a 1.9 CDTI 150 PS Vectra C 2004. The car started juddering, the car\spanner icon came on intermittently. The icon is now on all the time and the car has no performance and sounds like a bag of nails. The exhaust emision light is on as well. HELP please!!!

The EGR VALVE could be blocked full of soot m8, check out this thread coz this is what could b causing the problem:

Also check ur injector plugs, they could b dirty and causing the juddering like they did in mine, this thread will show u what to look for:

Many thanks, all sorted. Was the No 3 injector that had dirty contacts and when cleaned up worked as normal.

    Again many thanks

Just out of curiosity what did u clean them with? I used 'Electrical Contact Cleaner' and a couple of ear buds, its 80% better but not gone completely!

First time back at the forum since the last post. The cleaning was not that successful, about the same as yours.. What I've now done is put a cable tie around the body of the injector and the connector and pulled it up, but not to tight to damage anything. This works. I think it is the connector on the loom that is at fault, contacts damaged, and, although the cable tie solution works, am going to change it. Will let you know how this gets on.

Im trying to find out how to get hold of a 'modified injector plug wiring harness kit', coz apparently this will help fix the problem!

Does any1 know if a 'modified injector plug harness' has been fitted to the Facelift model, coz if so ill find a breakers that has a Veccy then take the harness off?!
