Default Anyone Code Key to Car In Glasgow or Ayrshire

    Hi All,

Need a new key for the car so been phoning around all the dealers in Glasgow and Ayrshire.
Key prices vary from £46 to £62 but all want to charge £30 pounds to code the key to the car. They say this is for 30mins work and it is the workshop that charge this and has nothing to do with the parts dept.

So is there any members out there with a Tech 2 or similar that can do a fellow member a wee favour

I work in Glasgow but live near Kilmarnock. All assistance greatly appreciated

30 minutes work my arse! 10 tops and five if you know what you're doing.

Pity you weren't closer as I'd do it for you!

I was the same when I tried to get one, originally from Kilmarnock and tried the dealers. Think Kerr&Smith in Cumnock might be the cheapest if you haven't tried them.

Oh well, off to the stealers it is then.

Really grudge giving them £30 for 10mins

Tell them if they want to charge for half an hour then thats fine but you want to watch him do it to justify the half hour labour charge or you will find them something else to do in that half hour to get your money's worth.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

My stealer charged £58 for flip key and tech 2ing, he did a second key for free too... took about 5-10 mins for the both.
