    Default car cleaning stuff???

Anybody got any ideas about cleaning products i can buy to clean, wax and polish my signum. As well as a good carpet cleaner and interior cleaning products???

I've only just got it and i don't want to keep taking it to the car wash as i'd rather do it myself

Tescos do all of them, they are good, ive tested them all. i prefer ag shampoo, ag srp, i like the tesco wax, its easy to use and shines nicely but not very protective so i second it with turtle wax liquid ice. Inside i use tesco foam upholstry cleaner, very good and smells ok too, tesco dash wipes and dash shine, i will use fabreez on the seats and dettol neutra air for the interior smells. on the tyres and exterior plastics i will use tyre gel, doesnt matter who makes it but the one i got is turtle wax (I think), its in a green bottle.

Depends how much you want to spend. I used a £100 wax last week at a detailing meeting in Stoke and today used a £20.00 wax on Andyls motor. I know the £20.00 wax lasts for at least 2 months on my car so I'll stick with that.

If you want something you can buy tomorrow in Halfords go for AG SRP and protect with AG EGP.

Both products work well together and by using them correctly you will be polishing, filling, cleaning and sealing the paintwork so it's easier to wash next time.

If you have a little more to spend get the Meguires Clay kit and use that before the SRP. It makes a huge difference to the final finish.

After that you can go on to spend hundreds if the bug bites.

Interiors I'm hopeless with. APC and vacuum and that's it. Lump is the guy to ask about that.

Its a pity you didn't come to last weeks meet at Autobrite in Stoke as you could have seen, learnt and bought at discounted rates.

alot will say use two bucket method but if u jet wash the car first one bucket i find does the job just aswell.
    any car shampoo will doo.
    microfibre drying towel.
    microfibre wash mit(meguires)
auto glym super resin polish (srp)
    auto glym extra gloss protection
then a wax that cost's more than £8 should do the trick.
    meguires endurance tyre shine.
6 microfibre cloths to buff off the polish gloss protection and wax
2 wax applicators for the wax.
if u want to spend more money
    meguires clay kit
collinite 915 wax very very good wax
any kind of alloy wheel cleaner auto glym or something similar.

hmmm interesting the pressure washer doesn't remove everything so 2 buckets is still essential in my opinion.
Shampoo yeah its much the same but there are some that are better than others, suds don't matter it is how slick the solution is to glide over the paint.
wash mitt lambswool all the way sheepskin shop sell 2 for £12

polish, the idea is you polish once and that is all you need if you use a decent wax to protect the shine, the finish come from the preparation work before the wax.

Wheel cleaner be carefull some are not that kind to wheels avoid the likes of wonder wheels.
