Want it for streaming and playing few games, not too much with the gaming.
Is the Arcade ok to go for, of should i get a better one?

i d choose a ps3 instead mate![]()
i bought the xbox 360 premium 60gb, first class and value for money. Ive played the playstation 3 but xbox is better alot!!!!!!!
agrees the ps3 is much better for streaming. easier menus and setup, without the need to buy adapter on 360 (however ive heard they come with networking built in now)
This isnt a biased oppinion i own all 3 systems and rate the ps3 highest for tech stuff but xbox for choice in games. but the ps3 seems to be better graphics when put side by side.
Ps3 will play alot more file formats too such as divx
Like the prices of the xbox
Just not sure if i will get any use of the hard drive
On game.co.uk, they have the arcade, without hard drive for £129 with 2 games.
They have the 60gb for £169 with the same games.
I know its only £40, but just not sure if the hard drive is any use for me?
For £40 m8 I'd deffo get the hard drive - especially with it being a 60Gb one. You'll kick yourself if you don't get it especially if you want to go onto Xbox Live etc. as the memory cards are a PITA to have to use and you'll have a job downloading any demos etc./putting much music on if you wanted to do that.
Jonesy im like you didnt think i needed the 60gb, you defo need it mate. you dont realise how much memory a game uses
Go for the hard drive, otherwise you have to rely on memory cards and they are a bl**dy nuisance. With the hard drive you dont have to bother with that, and by the time you buy the arcade version and a couple of memory cards you will be up to the price of the box with the HD fitted.
I've got Xbox and have just gone 'online' with it, and it's absolutley superb! Should have done it months ago!
