Lorry driving w*nker has wrecked my new car :(

As the title says. I was parked in a layby getting a hotdog and he ran his lorry all down the passenger side of it whilst driving out. He knew he'd done it, and opened his door after he's passed. I was walking up behind him with a face like thunder and he panicked and drove off quickly, but not before I got the reg and the make of truck and the fact it was a Comet Lorry. I also have two witnesses.

I went into the police station and reported it and the copper told me he'll be prosecuted for failing to stop at an accident or something like that. Just as well really because if he'd got out with an attitude I would honestly have battered him and then been in trouble myself

Insurance company have moved quickly. They are picking the car up from my house tomorrow and taking it for repairs and leaving me a brand new Volvo V70, which the guy on the phone told me is a top spec version and very plush. Had a look at some photos online and plush inside it might be, but it still looks vile

Will post some pics of my poor veccy later. Basically the rear passenger door is scrapped along its length, as is the rear wing, as is the rear bumper, and so is the wing mirror. Fortunately the front passenger door and front wing escaped.

Sorry to hear what happened. How could the truck driver just drive off like that. He knew what he had done and now probably will be in more trouble. Hope they make a good repair to your motor.

B&Q Class 1 lorry nearly took me off the road this afternoon on the M25, just pulled out into my lane & no number plate on the vehicle.

Quite right he should have stopped,no doubt hes in bother with his firm now so twice the bother when they find out..i have known truck drivers who are completly oblivious to small prangs we have a few at our place..but this chap can't claim that can he.

Indeed. I have two other witnesses that saw him open his door and look at what he'd done, then shoot off when he saw me approaching

Seriously though, i hope he gets what comming to him and you get your car sorted out to your satisfaction - just make sure all the paintwork looks OK, as it looks by your avitar that the car is a new 08 reg?
