    Question AFL light out

    HELP

When you have a AFL bulb go (hid) would it just not work

Or like mine start to flicker just when turning a corner

    Heres what happened

I turned right at a set of traffic lights with the drivers side, dip beam flickering then it was working fine going straight ahead
Then i turned left & it flicked again & went out

PS: Does any one no the part number & will i be-able to change it myself

    Cheers for any advice

PPS i have network Q cover still on the Vec but i dont think that covers bulbs

I think there was a issue with some units letting in water in. Should be replaced under warranty.

Do you get the AFL warning light on ? and are the turn lights working?

Sorry, I wasn't clear, I meant the halogen turn lights. The ones that come on when you turn the wheel tight and put the indicators on.

If one of them goes the fog light on the same side comes on.

It's definitely the main xenon bulb? If it is you should get that replaced under warranty. HID Xenon's, as a rule, should last the life of the car.

yep halogen turn lights come on

i thought my driver side front fog light would come on, with the drivers side dip beam out, but the fog light didn't come on

My main warranty has just ended but i still have the Network Q warranty untill june 2009 (i just hope that will cover it

It's a bit of a mission to change the bulbs. I changed mine to 6000K bulbs. I lined them up on the garage door first and drew a line where the beam pattern was. You then need a willing helper to assist in taking the bumper off and then you have to take the entire headlight unit out. You can then undo the little door at the back 2 X torx T20

The bulbs are D1S not D2S as with the pre-facelift and you can get them off ebay for about £30
