Noisy wiper motor

My front wiper motor seems to be making a scraping/grinding/whirring noise. Not really noisy but obviously a sign its on the way out

Is it an expensive part? I've seen then on ebay for around £40 with p&p but if the new ones not too expensive I'll buy that, not worth stripping the linkage down to put a 2nd hand one on if thats only going to last 5 minutes! I seem to have the revised linkage (white connectors) so its only the motor to change, assuming that I can swap to motor out.

Bl--dy vauxhall! I've never had to replace a wiper motor on any make of car, ever! What are these made out of? Recycled Scalextric cars?

I have a same problem. My wiper motor/linkage is so noisy that it drives me mad. What can I do? Wha is the problem?
