Vectra c 2.0 dti Hose

Hi Guys

Vectra c 2.0 dti

I was wondering if you guys could help me. I've got a split hose, it's the large bore one at the front right of the engine.
I think it runs from the intercooler and then joins at the front middle of the engine. It's about 60 cms long but vauxhall want to
sell me about 12 foot of pipe at stupid money.
Would any of you guys have one or know how to repair it. It's about a 1.5cm split.

Is the main charge air pipe from intercooler to inlet manifold?

If so, then it carries boosted air into the engine, so has a slight over pressure.


As you say that split is small, then a quick fix and TEMPORARY would be to wrap it with strong tape. The plastic reinforced gaffer duct tape about 2" wide is pretty good for temp repairs like this. Put plenty on and about 3" either side and work along.

The best replacement would be the exact pipe, why VX want to sell you a 12 foot long pipe is puzzling. Can you get the part number from yours? I do know that the correct part will not be cheap from the dealer, so maybe a dismantler may be able to help?

last time i did mine round about £60 from stealer depends which one you need. they both tend to go but you have to buy the full lot not justg hte short bit of hose.
