    Default Is th 2.2 Elegance Model ok

    Hi All,


    New to the site going today to have a look at the Vectra C - 2003 2.2 elegance,

    Is this an ok model is there anything i need to know about it. I know about the recalls, bit am worried about the timing chain issue. or am i being too cautious.

    ANy help would be Great.

    if it doesn't rattle it's fine.....just check it's had regular servicing..

    we've had a 2.2 elegance and thay are nicely specced up...

    timing chain tensioner fell off mine at 35000 miles, still ran but sounded like a diesel transit, as above, if it sounds ok, then it probably is.

    I've got a 2003 2.2 Elegance and I think you'll be quite pleasantly surprised with what it's spec'. As far as the engine goes, make sure it's got full service history, preferably VX and as has been said before if it's quiet then should be fine on the timing chain issue.

    Hi guys,

    Thanks for this helps alot, spoke to the dealer mentioned that all recalls have been done on the car so no issue there. Engine does sound quiet, and has been serviced 5 times in the last five years at VX dealer,

    Very well speked up will be here more often from now on.

    Elegance has nice trim than it's Design replacement, well it does imo anyway.
