    Default Auto Dipping Mirrors?

Can you turn them off? I hate them!

At this time of year when I'm driving home in semi daylight on the motorway they are a flamin nightmare!

When the light is like this some people have their lights on and others dont. Several times lately I have gone to pull out into what appears to be a gap in the outer lanes only to notice at the last minute the shadow of a car with no lights on, or just it's sidelights. They are downright dangerous in these circumstances. The argument that they should have their lights on is neither here or there. I can't change that, but I'm hoping I can turn the mirrors off.

    Anyone?

you can disconnect it mate. just a matter of removing the mirror glass and disconnecting the 2 pin plug for it. I'll be stripping down the wing mirror tomorrow for someone else and will try to take a picture (assume your talking about the wing mirror and not the interior mirror????)

Cheers mate. It's both really as I tend to look in the rear view mirror first, then the driver side wing mirror before pulling out

took some pictures today and had a good look, by the looks of it you can change the wiring easily because the connector is fixed to the alloy body inside the housing, the only way you could do it is to de-pin the plug and remove the wiring and then pin it up to the new plug.

Pictures in the morning when i sober up, had 8hrs straight re-wiring the cars body loom and as a result my auto-dipping mirror now works exactly what your trying to make not work lol...
