How to switch off TMC on a CD70 ?

Hi

Could someone please help. The TMC is driving me mad with its constant interruptions!

I just cant seem to turn it off. I've followed the manual and it says to select Navi, TMC Setting and 'switch all options off at the same time'.

But it doesnt switch off! The little [TMC] icon still appears on the display. I assume this is supposed to disappear if TMC is not activated.

I've also tried to press the TP button, but makes no difference.

Please help.....

You don't have to 'turn off' TMC; you only need to disable 'dynamic guidance' someweher in the NAV-settings menu

I think i might have explained it wrongly.

I think i'm talking about TP messages rather than TMC messages.

Its the 'traffic alerts' that bother me. They come on even if you are listening to the Radio or CD. I've tried playing around with the TP button, but cant seem to switch it off.

Just press the TP button so the brackets go off the TMC...

Seems to stop it on mine..?!

I tried that, and expected it to go off permanently for all stations.

But it soon came back...

Strange - the TP announcements annoy the hell out of me too.

Try turning the TP off while you're listening to a CD - can't offer any better suggestions than that I'm afraid!

have you tried turning off the TP setting, then re-saving the station in the memory? I'm sure I had to do this on an old stereo...

i near even noticed till now .ive never had any traffic messages on my cd70
