    Default The Vectra Is Crashed

In a carpark the other day, someone pulled out of a bay and i go straight into him and then knock the bumper of the car parked next to him. He had the cheek to say i was speeding......... I'm sorry but it was dark, about 4 cars in the carpark and i had my lights on......how could he not see me? unless he wasn't looking of course....Anyway insurance company have put the vectra in the main dealers to repair and i've been palmed off with 57 plate corsa life 1.0ltr.......... what a waste of space that car is, only had it a day and i wouldn't pay £10 for it......

Do you think if i phone my insurance they would change my curtesy car if i tell them it's not suitable, can't even put the pram in the boot.......

exactly the same thing happened to me about 12 years ago when some old git pulled out of a 'side road' in a big car park and i hit him in my Porsche [really, i had a porsche, i had money then, no kids, but some money....], my car was unfortunately written off [i was in first gear doing about 7mph], his was badly injured because i hit him straight on the offside front wheel. the insurance companies called it 50 - 50 liability, i only got half my excess back.

i had a crappy citroen saxo for 2 days, when the assessor wrote mine off, i had to give it back, it was no great loss.

Phoned the insurance company and apparently in my policy it says a "courtesy car will be a small hatchback".......... i'll have to start reading the small print at some stage in my life............

    I probably won't though......

Have the insurance company come back and said who's to blame or will they take it as a knock for knock?

Not Yet, they said they will investigate and get back to me, funnily enough were both with the same insurance company so they will have to argue across the table
