U581 Diag Tool

Just bought a U581 from TTMC and works a treat, only thing I did notice is that it doesn't retrieve the VIN number , only a CALIB No. (seems to be in HEX ) , Anyone that does own one of these, have you also found that it doesn't retrieve the VIN ?

I had one. In fact, I think I still do. It doesn't read the VIN either.

Ok , thanks for the reply mate, I have since heard it's nor a requirement of OBD2 and not always present on all cars , so hence the reason it doesn't retrieve it, I guess.
