EON Can not bill correctly my granddad died 3 years ago and left his house to my dad, we decided to knock it down (2 bed Bungalow) and build very nice 5 bed room 5 bathroom house LINK hose is still on market if any one is interested.

It took 18 months to build all this time no electricity or gas supplied to the house we got a bill for £4000 for gas and electric even though when house is built we went with British gas,

Finally admitted there fault and no charge

MY Advice to not use EON

I would check that your reading are correct and not estimates. Make sure they start with the correct reading when you moved in as your energy usage seems very high. When we moved into our current house the previous owners lied about the meter reading. I was able to prove we did not use the amount of energy we were being charged for as we were not running a smelting works! Check the reading and work out your average per day, as we did. It seemed we were using enough energy to light up Northampton at night due to the incorrect readings.

i'm with E-On too, and the same thing happened, my monthly payments weren't enough, so they upped it. not to a huge degree though. i phoned them and talked it down £20 a month for the 3 months to clear it. i had to get onto them again to drop it to a more sensible level after the 3 months were up, as i doubt they would have been onto me to tell me i was paying too much though...
i have capped it since then, not sure how much of a benefit it was as yet.

but energy companies, just plain robbing b**tards, if they could bottle the air you breathe and sell it back to you they would...
