    Default Oval twin exhausts

I have looked all over the forum but can't quite find what I am looking for.

Does anyone know where I can get a set of new oval stainless steel twin exhaust tailpipes for a 1.8 Sri. If possible I would just like to change from the cat back.

Also where is the best place to source a twin pipe insert?

Do these look any good? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DUAL-4-STAINLE...1%7C240%3A1318

Seem quite cheap and also they are not oval as I would like. Is 4" too big? Perhaps go for 3" if they do them.

Looked at these myself, yet to take the plunge, it seems universal which usually means a fair old bit of bodging and time to get it on
As for the insert, VX will sell the VXR insert pretty sure its around £30

If, as the Flea Bay seller says is true, each system is tailor made for each vehicle. If this is the case , then yes, they're a good alternative.

Just been to my local dealer and they want £58.50+VAT for the insert but wait for it.............£698.71+VAT for the Irmscher tailpipes.

What do these people do, just think of a number, double it and add abit. They would be expensive at that price if it were fitted but just to supply! No wonder the dealers are struggling at the moment. They aint robbing me to keep them above water.

£58.50+vat would be for standard insert, buy the VXR one,its only about £30+vat,here's the part number: 9271537......

Must be a tuning place of Local garage that can source you an exhaust,we've got Alan Jeffrey down here in Plymouth and i'm going to take mine there for a twin set-up.......

    Hi Glenboy,

How much are you being quoted at Alan Jeffery's for the twin set up and is that for the oval or round tailpipes?

Thanks for the tip off for the insert.

I mentioned the VXR one to him and he just said that it was a completely different part!

I been looking for a few months for direct fit ones, what im planning on doing is finding a scap vec-c with twin pipes and tranferring the exhaust from that onto mine, as everything is there ready to go and then all i might have to do is buy the insert bit at the back with the bits cut out to take the twin pipes....

But trying to find a set is getting hard as whenever i ask on flebay i get the answer "sorry no exhast is on it"....work that out??
