    Default boost sensor location?

    2.2dti 52reg vectra

    just cleaned what i thought was the bost sensor but i think it may be the wrong thing?

    it had 2 pipes on topand one at bottom

    one of the top pipes went direct to boost regulator on turbo

    any pics of the boost sensor would be great many thanks

    According to haynes the charge (boost) sensor is located in the intake housing on the inlet manifold

    if you take the cover off ya engine and post a pic i'll circle it for ya. Dead easy to remove and clean. Just be gentle! If ya havent got a pic its a little square box thing bout 1.5 inches long with bosch written on and has 1 torx bolt holding it in. When you undo that and pull it out it'll have a rubber seal attached to it and a cone like plastic bit which houses the sensor and may be full of black crap. Clean it out and you should see a little (orange IIRC) oval thing bout 4mm long inside. Thats the sensor just gently clean all the black gunk away and refit. HTH

    p.s its near the right hand hose

    whats the best way to clean this??..what products and tools are required to clean? and do i need to be incredibly delicate?
