    Default vx service

Im looking for decent independant garage that can service my vectra in greater manchester (pref west of the city) & would be grateful for a nod in the direction of a good un.

Also, do I need a vx specialist to ensure my warranty remains valid or can I use any garage & ensure they use vx parts (ask for receipts etc)?

u dont need to use a vx garage or vx parts aslong as the parts used are of an oe grade the one thing i would say is use the proper 5w30 gm oil as it meets the vx grade. due to block exemtion u can get ur car serviced where eva u like as long as the parts are oe grade and the manufactures service requirements are caryed out
hope that this helps bud any other questions bout this please let me know

Depends how far you want to travel - the only Vx independent I'd recommend would be Midpoint Garage at Middlewich.

Personally, I'd use any garage local to you that you trust - you'll save a fortune. As long as you tell them before the service that they need to use approved parts, they can stamp your book and keep the warranty intact.

Looks like it'll be me local then. He's sorted me out for years with older vw's. I'll have a word bout the warranty, genuine parts etc & gettin me book stamped before I book her in.

    thanks again

lol. Apparently there's a VXR8 in that picture somewhere but I can't see it despite checking several times. Think it's just a rumour.

again, it's probably too far out of town to consider, but i would recommend Marc at MW performance in Chester. sorted out my timing chain hassles, very sound guy.
