    Default Should I buy HID's from hids-direct or hids4u

Not sure if there are any pro's or con's between them, so thought I would quickly ask here.

The choice is either the Vectra C product here:
    http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/hid-products.html

Or the Ultimate kit from here:
    http://www.hids4u.co.uk/store/produc...&cat=13&page=1

I know you are all probably bored of HID related questions, but I would appreciate the help.

Thanks to RSV_Ecosse for his help with my other questions :-)

The old kit I had was from hids4u, and they were a good job. Far better than the £69-wonders I have now.

Whereas mine didn't and I ended up binning them after several months of tearing my hair out and trying various different ballasts/bulbs/capacitors etc.

I think retro fitting Hids on a vec is a lottery. For some they work, but for others they just dont

Just remember that aftermarket HID kits are illegal. I toyed with the idea of fitting a set but the thought of paying for the rest of my life if I had a serious accident didn't appeal to me, in the end I went for Philips Xtreme bulbs and they are fantastic. I'm not a policeman or anything but I know your insurance won't pay out in the event of an accident if you have fitted a HID kit.

Thanks for the legal stuff, I read through that via another thread a while ago, but I appreciate the heads up.

I'm gonna buy some anyway. As long as the lights do not blind people coming the other way owing to non-eliptoid lenses I see them as a good thing. If they are risking other road users then I shall stop using them. I intend to get the 5000k ones, I am not after purple lights or anything!

I have been a goody two shoes all my motoring life. Time to live a little. I have discovered this year that life is too short to care about every little thing.

HIDs are illegal, but no-one is enforcing it yet, so fit them and enjoy using them until they're enforced.
