Default BSR stage 3 or Full custom leather ?

Which one would you go for ..... Stg 3 BSR or Full leather retrim from Classic car services ?
Both are working out at about the same cost but i can't decide.
In the back of my mind i'm a bit apprehensive about the stg 3 mod as the car is only 18 months old (would it make void VX warrenty ? ) With the stg 1, its only a matter of taking out the remap when it goes in for service/work, whereas the stg 3 has exhaust & injectors that they'll spot.
Also its something i've got to save for as i don't have the spare £ to buy it outright now.
My car has a BSR stg 1 and standard SRI interior just for reference.

Well you could get a second hand leather interior and save a bit more for the BSR stage 3

I wouldn't be up for a second hand one as i want custom colours and other "options" that they offer.

Hmm, tricky one given what you've said.

The Stage 3 wouldn't void the whole car's warranty, but if you had an issue that they could prove, or simply suspected, was due to any of the Stage 3 then they could refuse to fix that particular bit i.e. if your turbo went, let's say, then they 'may' turn round and say they won't replace it as the S3 was probably a contributing factor - even though it may have been the case that the turbo went if it had been still bog-standard.

It depends on the dealer initialy. My dealer when I had Stage 1 knew of it and had no qualms putting through any warranty work that was obviously nothing to do with the remap.

At the ned of the day they have to know that it has S3. The only thing that is externally visible is the sports exhaust/downpipe/sports cat but as far as they are concerned that could be all you've added. The different injectors are not really noticeable unless you start to take things apart - so it's unlikely they'd know you had anything like that unless there was a more serious issue with the engine and they were taking injectors etc. off.

If you'd had half-leather I'd have said deffo go for the S3, but given what you've said it's what you really fancy/is your main priority and whether you're happy to take a bit of a 'risk' in terms of adding it to a car still under warranty.

How loud is the BSR/Jetex exhaust system inside the car.
Because the car is my everyday drive, i don't want any excessive noise inside it, the missus would hate me even more !

If someone took me out in their car with a stg 3, i know it'd be the 1st one of the 2 i'd have. I intend on keeping the car for at least 2 more years so would probably have that done last nearer the end of the cover.
I went in Spoons's VXRD when it had the leather retrim and was very impressed with it. Made the car more 'individual' looking.

Looks like i'm answering my own question here but still want your opinions.

I'd go for the leather, wait until nearer your warranty end for the S3. Really want my leather doing but not got the pennies yet. I'm sure the s3 is amazing but I wouldn't be able to drive quickly so I'd settle for the leather. If it were too loud it'd get on my nerves. start a poll?

When I was in D's it was very subtle, it's got a nice sporty rumble to it, but it isn't intrusive in anyway. Unlike mine which is loud as fuc4 lol.

As Mark said it's got a nice little rumble/roar to it when accelerating etc., but driving normally/on a motorway you barely notice it -it certainly doesn't intrude and wear away at you. If it had I wouldn't have kept it.

You're always welcome to a spin in mine if we ever met up somewhere.

In that case I'd be inclined to suggest the S3 as the first thing to do as you'll have longer to enjoy the S3 in that time, rather then do it nearer the end and not have it for very long. I know you could say that about the leather too, but IMO you'll get more pleasure out of having the S3 over a longer time than the leather.
