had an emergency yesterday with bold front tyres 2 week ago i checked tread when i had a puncture repaired and seemed to have 1 to 2 mm left on fronts checked yesterday morning while washing car that my fronts were bold only 1mm tread left all round on both wheels.
scoured the house for any spare cash got £91 so off the tyre place for quotes got cheapest back at wilco motorsave £89 all in.
wasnt till i gpot home that i noticed the name yellowsea there not a bad looking tyre there 225 / 45 / 17 XL and directional tread but ive never ever heard of the make.
tried a bit of googling on the name but so far nothing on quality of tyre just that there a chinese tyre company that makes truck tyres.
but still £89 for two tyres to me is a good deal just hope they last till i can afford some decent ones.

Just dont go around any corners fast in the rain .mate of mine put on some (sunny brand ) tyres , he said he could,nt stop sliding all over the road in the wet.

Good luck. I paid more than that for one tyre in the same size. But I expect I'll stay on the road when it rains.

When I had that size one tyre cost about 50% more of the cost of those two tyres, so not being funny but as the guys above have said I would really doubt if they have any wet weather performance whatsoever.

as i said in 1st post it was a case of buying all that i could afford at the time.

it was raining last night and the drive home wasn't too bad at all they seemed to cope quite well.
did a little more digging and they seem to make racing tyres too plus motobike tyres.

Some of the cheaper brands are not bad - Tigar and Accellera (also know as Apollo or Speedo) are both elcheapos that are reasonable for the money. OK, they're not in the same league as the premiums, but they're not really bad like Wanli, Hankook, etc.

I dont think its worth making compromises on tyres, but understand your reason for buying them.
Anyway matey hope they turn out to be a reasonable safe tyre.

Yellow Sea tyres - making tyres in China since 1933. Maybe they do what they're doing, though a lot of Chinese tyres are old compounds and old designs copied fro the premium tyres of yesteryear. See Nankang - by a new Nankang you're basically getting an 80's Yokohama.

I see from their web site they're similar to Triangle. They're dangerous - my housemate had a blowout on a 2 week old Triangle in the wet on a motorway at 60mph and ended up with this:

i have sold a set of yellowsea (sunew) tyres to a customer recently and i did alot of digging for my work to find out some info on there tyres they are cheep coz they are imported from china the will be no worse than a cheepo euro tyre if i can find the info at my work tomo ill try put it up on here if anyone has any questions on tyre please ask and ill do some reserch at work lol i am a storeman after all haha
