ebay is probably the cheapest, I got a brand new witter towbar for a hatch for £40. They are a piece of cake to fit aswell. Electrics are more expensive, I was quoted £50 for wiring kit and then another £30 to tech2 it to tell the car it had a towbar fitted. You can get around this using 2 relays and a normal standard wiring kit which is much cheaper (less than a tenner) There is a thread somewhere showing how this is done, if you can't find it let me know.

I think retail prices for towbars are about £100 plus and thats just for the bar, Expect to pay minimum £250 fitted unless you tackle it yourself.

i would recommend chester trailer and towbar centre. have had a towbar fitted before and was very satisfied. very quick, nice tidy job and friendly to deal with. i need one soon on my car for a bike trailer, and they quoted me about £180, but that's for a witter bar with a plug in wiring kit, not a scotchlock bodge job. even though you aren't dead close to chester, you could book it in for a saturday morning, take the wife and walk into the city for a few hours and have a look around.
