    Default rite ive had it

OK with the absolute ball ache i had over the last few weekends, to TRY and change the head light bulb on the dipped beam. gave up today and went to the local garage to get them to fit. he wanted to take out the headlights bumper and all..... so as you can imagine i said kiss my ass.

so i there any one reasonably close who will voluntary pass me there knowledge and TRY and change it ? to say i am a bit ****ed off with this is and understatement.
and yes i have tried to take out the air box, twist the bulb. every thing i can find on how to do it. and yes i also know that one of you lot wil just go twist pull push done but i will be eternally grateful and very embarrassed

No need to remove the air box, just move it up and to the left. the bulb does not twist either, it pulls, try getting a pair of long nose pliers on one of the terms and carefully ease out.

If I was close I'd happily do it mate, don't need to even move the airbox as my skinny hands fit in, just.

I'm a real old fart at 66yrs, with only half a brain, and hands like a elephant foot, so I'm sure if I can manage it matey I'm positive you can. Just take your time, on the facelift one bulb is held in by a clip which your've probably seen and the other 2 just push in, no need to twist, get a long thin screwdriver down the side of it and you should be able just tilt it enough to bring it out, pulling gently on the wires helps a bit but dont over do it, the good news is... they are easier to put in.. lol.

Passenger side is easy, once the washer filler is pulled out. On the drivers side I just removed the airbox cover, but it would be easier as some of the guys have stated if you lift the whole airbox out of the way. I changed all six bulbs on mine and it took about a hour.
I found the sidelight bulbs to be the most difficult.
Just persevere and you'll get there, watch your hands though or you could end up like I did...but dont give up... Vectra owners are real men... we dont give up!! If we didn't like punishment we would'nt be Vectra owners..lol

    check this out.

And I`m a sheep, and I managed it , even with me wellies on!
seriously though, just grasp the holder and pull, try a gently wiggle ( of the bulb holder!), the other is held in by a clip. I thought I would have to shift the airbox, but managed without moving anything in the end on driver side.
    Just persevere.
