    Default New headunit

I posted a while back about what stereo to go for to replace my current pioneer headunit which has a bu66ered display.

I have missed out on several units on fleabay and have decided on 2 units but just cannot make up my mind so need help if you guys can let me know of your experiences of hese brands or better still these models.

    Pioneer - DEH P800BT
    http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/pion...22b52910d6e1cf

Advantages - built in bluetooth, Price, i am used to pioneer

    Alpine CDA 9887R
    http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/alpi...22b52910d6e1cf

Advantages - Powerful, spec, imprint audio ready, changable colour display, i pod full speed control
Disadvantages - bit more expensive, need to buy bluetooth add on

I have roughly £300 budget which the alpine would go over once i get th bluetooth.

Thanks in avance for any advice.

I think you've answered your own question there, G...

For me, the Pioneer unit looks better, has better specs and I know from experience the Pioneer sound quality is excellent.

Alpine units do get good reviews once you start getting to the top of their range, but if Bluetooth is important, why make extra effort and expense for yourself?

Superb mate. Thats kindof the way i was starting to think as well. I just missed a pioneer deh9800bt on e bay and that would have been ideal but its discontinued.

At least it will go well with my blue dash

Hi mate i've got the alpine unit in my Veccy and I must say it's some unit and it's got an i-pod hooked up to it too. And this runs 2 Alpine amps and a 3000w Alpine sub-woofer

    Some piccies for yoy too.
    Alpine CDA 9887R

Alpine 12inch sub and 2 Alpine amps.
Small one,360w running front and rear components and large amp, 1000w,running the sub.

It's your choice mate but I've been blown away with the Alpine.

Pioneer gets the vote from me as well. One thing you mentioned as an advantage for the Alpine was Full Speed Ipod control.....the Pioneer has this also.

cheers again guys. the alpine does look good but the pioneer may just swing it for me as it'll save me cash and add ons.

My current unit p70bt is good but was not best with transferring my phone book etc and was permenantly live as the audio place said it couldnt be wired up any other way.

That was Pioneers first bt headunit so hopefully this one will be better if i go for it. Other drawback is you cant (or couldnt) get a steering wheel / mfd adaptor for it.

Oh i hate making decisions lol
