    Default crazy idea...

I know that this might be a problem on my car as i have front foggies allready...

but its retro fitting AFL but its not the headlights that turn... but front foggies that turn on at the correct side..

hella made a set.. so if i dint have foglights it would be easy to do is...
    http://www.hella.com/hella-com-en/774.html

its the dynabeam im thinking of.. (evo2 of it).

i have a few questions for you electric gurus... where can i find the speedsensor that i can use... (mine a 2004 half canbus).

how much needs to be changed... when i want to use my original foglights?

there is a speed sensor wire in the radio wiring,as to another thing that you may have not thought of,how do you intend to get the steering angle so that the headlights turn when you want them too?

i was thinking of using the set from hella and modify that.. and use my foglights...

the hella set is using the turnsignal as signal to turn the light on.

    Wich wire is it? (cdr2005)

Why dont you piggyback from afl lights? alternatively, look at the wiring on the afl lights and compare it to your current lights, look at the wires which go to the motors and devices that change the beams

Well if your going to fit them you will need some sort of positional sensor for the steering movement and i would suggest to use the speed sensor from behind the radio, you can get from inside the car to the engine bay behind the glove box. you can piggyback from this wire or if you have an aftermarket stereo, it probably wont have a use so just pull the wire out of the iso.

I understand - but can't see how it would work.

You want to use your indicators as a signal to activate the AFL - but that would mean you only ever got the light when you were turning at a junction, and not on every corner where you need it.

How do the cars with standard AFL generate a signal to tell the beams which way to bend? I would assume some kind of angle sensor on the steering rack or similar...

Good luck, I look forward to watching this progress
