    Default rattle over bumps

everything seems to be going wrong with the car this week,
when i go over bumps in the road, even very small ones there is a rattle that seems to me coming from the right hand side of the car, thought the exhaust was loose at first but dosnt seem to be......

it came on all at once, so wasnt a gradual thing...... any ideas people???

only suggest the rear calipers as they would have been loosened to remove the pads/discs.if it sound like t from the front have a quick search for radiator mounts as i believe when they get water on them they also make knocking noises.

made a new discovery this morning, it seems that if i am applying slight pressure to the brakes when going over bumps there isnt any rattle!!!

seems to be deffo coming from the back wheel which are the ones that i had the pads and discs changed on on monday.........

when you get the wheels off check that the caliper spring clips are on correctly sometimes these can be fitted on the inside and not over the top they can also be bent slightly to make them fit easier and that will cause them to rattle

    Eek

went to a local garage today for them to have a look, problem now sorted.

beleive it or not - turns out that the origional garage that did my pads and discs firstly put the pads on the wrong way round (which meant i had to get a brand new set as they were nackered.

and second they didnt even put the springs back on that hold the pads in place, which was causing the rattling.

wont be going back there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! shocking

Get a refund from the first garage. Messing up brakes is not good.
