OMG Sapphire Black Estate. You have my sympathy.

If you are looking for a good polish that you can get from Halfords get some Autoglym SRP. It's got abrasives, fillers and some cleaning properties too. As an off the shelf product it's perfect.

After polishing you'll need to protect the hard work so to keep it simple Autoglym EGP is a good sealent which will make the car easier to wash next time.

If you really want to push the boat out clay the car first. Again Halfords do a Megs claying kit.

Autoglym SRP and EGP are genuinly good products which hold their own against anything else you can buy on the High Street.

Whatever you use make sure you get some Pics up of the results.

This is my car. Not with AG stuff but the same principle.

It is possible to clean black cars. Honest. lol

I'm no expert on this but I'm sure those members that are well versed in this wil say no, no, no, no, to T-Cut.

Halfords do the Maquires range (I think) which is top quality but don't do anything til you've heard from others - sorry, meant Megs.

Also do some searches on this forum in the "Detailing and car care" section for some good advice.

SRP is a great product imo. If you get dust, your using too much
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Anyone used AG Ultra Deep Shine on dark colours instead of SRP?

I use it and find it similar to AG SRP but oily so just wax on top not EGP. I use it on dark colours in good condition with little swirls. For swirled cars I would use SRP. I always use colly on top as it lasts ages.
