    Default prolems after service

just picked my car up for having a service

    oil + filter
    air filter
    fuel filter
    etc

and it does not seem to accelerate until the revs get over about 2.5k, run it until warm and still the same then spanner light came on.

Any ideas what they could have done?

That sounds like something to do with the turbo to me, that's about the point where the turbo's usually spooled up.

Hopefully completely unrelated to the service you just had, but I would start with your boost hoses and check for splits

    confused

Turbo seems fine as the lack of power is mainly before the turbo spools up then it pulls ok'ish.

Took it back to the garage this morning, they plugged it into the computer and it showed an unknown fault. After a few test drives the problem seemed to clear its self however when i picked the car back up it was playing up again. I pulled over switched off and on again and then it drove home fine.

The garage suggested it might be the airflow meter so ive pulled it off and given it a clear out as there was some dust and dirt in it, given it a thrash around for ten minutes and all seems fine.

If the problem comes back again i'll fit a new air flow meter and see if that helps.

Vehicle : Insignia CDTi SRi NAV 160

I would have said that it was the mass airflow meter. Have they clipped everything back together correctly when they done the air filter? Maybe the plug into the MAF is not fitted correctly

Peter Griffin: Ah, c'mon, Lois, isn't 'bribe' just another word for 'love'?
