Boot Open Sensor/Indicator

Where is the sensor for the tailgate that tells the system if the boot is open or not?

That's right on my facelift and I assume it's the same on the pre-facelift too.

The boot catch clicks around once and then clicks around a second time which signals the boot is properly locked.

You can do this with your finger and it will turn off the boot light when it clicks around twice.

My missus has a habbit of not shutting the boot properly and I looked into this myself to understand how the car knew she wasn't doing it right!
