Default Rear fog lights / light

Am I right in saying that there is only 1 rear fog light in the Vec C's? Or have i just got a blown bulb?

Apparently there is a bulb in place for the second one but the wiring isn't there?

    Cheers

correct - offside only. Nearside has a bulb in place (as a spare) but no wiring.

Never understood the fascination/appeal in wanting 2 rear fog lights. On the one or two days a year when we get fog surely one is good enough?

That aside, if you've got a blown bulb warning system, then doubling the current being drawn by the one working foglight bulb will no doubt put the warning light on.

Doesnt the warning light work purely on resistance?

    Thanks for the info guys.

I noticed that i only had one fog light working and was going to go out and buy another thinking one was blown.

I can't quite understand Vauxhall , the Vec B's always had 2 rear fog lights.

I not sure the last time I drove in fog thick enough to need my rear fogs, but I saw some tw@t put them on the other day as it was raining

I don't think it does put the warning light on, But I would imagine if the off side one went then the warning light wouldn't come on as it would read the near side one.

Its not just Vauxhall. I read somewhere that one high intensity light is safer than two as it stands out more - I know - I would think the other is there for our european cousins.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Well i'm guilty of using those in the dark on unlit roads. I know its breaking the law but I prefer to be able to see - stupid crap head lights!
