    Default Air filter intake upgrade

Pooped into the dealer's today to pick up my new air intake pipe. 7.45 with our 10% discount
I just need to get a panel filter and I'll do the whole mod in one.
    Here's the mod.

I asked how much a new 17" alloy was for a spare. He said cheapest 17" alloy is 120 quid less 10% discount plus the VAT.
I said I'll leave it and find a used one.
This is the car i'm not modding

I looked at my airscoop today and it is already quite short as it only goes across the radiator about a third or is this right and the one you got is shorter again

I'm not sure on your's Andy. But mine is the longer one as pictured in the link. I have bought the real short one now. This new one doesn't sit above the radiator at all. Were as the longer on sit's right on top.

being new to the c, can this mod be done on the 3.0 CDTi, was going to fit K+N panel and remove the trim inside the airbox at the same time so if this can be done i may as well do it at the same time.

It appears that the longer air pickup is only on the 1.8. all the others have the shorter one. My 1.9CDTi does and I have seen a few such as the 3.2 with the shorter one.

My 2003 2.2 had the longer one fitted as standard and I've replaced that with the shorter one.
    Cheers Pete
