no headlamp dashboard light???

I just got my car back from the garage after a coil spring snapped resulting in me having to fork out for a new set of springs, a track rod arm and an new tyre after the spring gauged it

took it out for a spin last night and noticed that the dash lights come on ok and my headlights are working, but there is no indicator on the dashboard for the headlights - was there ever one there??? i really can't remember! the indicator for full beam works, by i can't see one for dipped.

if the light is not working, does anyone know if it would be a fuse, or the bulb in the dash? and would this be expensive to get fixed?

Only two cars I've seen with a dip light is the Pug 106 and the old Mk1 Clios.

I think the veccy's and siggies with auto lights have it (facelift anyway)

I have to be honest, whats the point of this light anyway??? If its light you don't need them on and if its dark and you can't see would you really need to check this little light to see if the head lights are on or not????

my facelift has this - it is green and on the left of the dash
