    Default Price for colour coding.

I called into a couple of Body shops last night to get some prices for colour coding Mud Guards and (forgive teh english) The black plastic bit inder the bumper (I don't have a splitter yet).

1st place £80 mud guards + £80 for the bumper.
2nd Place £110 mud guards didn't bother with the bumper!
    3rd not interested.

Seams very steap to me... What have other peeps paid? The colour is silver lightning if that makes a huge difference.

A few years ago I punctured the boot of my Pug 306 on a concrete block. Cost me £70 to knock out and respray the bumper.

I've had a quote of £300 to respray all the black trim around the bottom of the car, ( rear bumper apron, side skirts, mudguards and front bumper skirt/protector thingy ) so £80 for the mudguards sounds about right

Default Does no-one want to paint my flaps!

Right Been to some more body shops.. Just had a long convaluted explanation as to why these flaps can't be painted.

Can those of you who have done it (especially in the NW) tell me any special processes you went through, who did it etc etc. I'm getting p'd off now! One set of flaps, one free weekend and no paint job!

Have anyone had roblems with chipping, pealing and bad finishes etc?

Paid £350 for painting for front Irmscher spoiler, SRi side skirts, mud flaps, rear lip spoiler, and rear under bumper skirt. All done about 4 months ago and had no problem with paint on the mud flaps or rear under bumper skirt.

Grumpano, I see you're round Oldham(?) Where did you get yours done? Trying to find a bodyshop on the Wirral seams pointless unless I want to get ripped off!

Any other suggestion in the NW?

Got the front lip done at Milnrow motor bodies,I must admit they were reluctant saying, cant guarantee finish. But they are still looking good,Mind you i dont go to car washes, just pressure ones. The flaps were done by a local back street guy who did my spoiler, had to wait ****** ages for them....
But if you live in the Wirrel give Topline a shout, he knows a good place,i've seem the work and its very good.
