Not yet. If I do, I'll only end up inserting it into a neighbours orifice.

No as when i got home to park in my spot the neighbour came out from his back garden to say " we are going to be setting of some fireworks soon and dont want any stray ones to land on your car"

I thought that was realy good of him to tell me, as he keeps commenting on how mine shows his up....

I know what you mean. Couple of years ago my neighbour's 18/19 year old son, who I basically get on fine with, decided to have a bunch of fireworks in their back garden. He made sure he moved his car away (the garages and drives are part of the back gardens), didn't think of bothering to let me know he was about to unleash a pile of fireworks. First I knew was as the first multi-shot job went off. By the time I got outside all the crap was already landing on the car - nice smoking bits of cardboard tubing. I let him know my feelings rather loudly over the fence and 'had words' the next day!!

Year before that the next neighbour down (young lad) had a barrage of fireworks going off. Next morning I went out to the car to find bits of firework over it. Coincidentally he'd come out to his car at the same time as I had and saw I wasn't happy. He realised it was his fireworks so an apology was muttered. He did the same this year - barrage of fireworks - but didn't bother to forewarn me! Fortunately the neighbour's son - same one mentioned earlier - knew he was having the fireworks and told me, so I moved both our cars down the road out the way before he started.

Once he was finished, guess what was lying on the drive where my car had been? Yep, the remains of a rocket, with the long wooden stick attached. That would have landed right on my roof if the car had been there!!

It doesn't take much thought to realise that fireworks are likely to land on people's cars, and have the courtesy to forewarn them about a firework display being set off.

This year fortunately no repeat incidents. The neighbour a couple of doors down had a few fireworks last night, but nowhere near as many as past years. I think the pi**ing rain was a contributing factor to the short display!

Very queit here too. Gutted cos i loves fireworks i does!

Would have moved mine into the garage anyway if there were going to be loads but FIL4822 wouldn't have been impressed as he's left his car at mine while he's in America but taken the keys! Good job really though as i've a feeling that his would have turned into a 1.8 and mine into a 2.0T by the time he got back!

Not to worry as off to Swansea the weekend. Best mate has his own pub and has bought some awesome fireworks as he's having a big display. Not actually seen the fireworks but seen the boxes and they are huge and have NASA printed on them!!

Snowman, you got your ears on?

I found the stick of a rocket right next to my car this morning.

Glad it didnt land on top of it.

Also, about 11:30 pm last night, there are some tw4ts that live round the back of the house, about 18 years old and am pretty certain he spends more time behind bars than outside, anyway, the little one (now 3 months) woke up to some really loud rocket bang's that seemed too close.....when I looked out the window, the pr1ck was with his mates, lighting rockets and then just throwing them and watching from the window where they went.

I stood and watched for a while and they were just going all over the place. Imagine if someone was walking outside and this one rocket went astray!

I wished someone would stick a rocket up his 4r5e and light it!!

    Bye bye Vec B
