Default Water in boot of Hatchback

Appears to be getting in around where the rubber seal and flexible covering is to protect wiring to high level stop light. Have put some mastic over the seal and appears to have solved the problem, although did find some water in the boot recently. Can anyone recommend a good mastic and how easy is it to replace this seal and wiring cover

the seal comes with the lamp.... do you have a little lip spoiler on the outside of your bootlid?.. or is it a life/LS/Elite?..

i've done several SXi/SRi/GSi now where the bootlid fills with water, and it's turned out to be poor sealing of the bootlip spoiler..

    Default Water in boot

Thanks for the info and other links. No tail lip. Water gathers in N/S beneath the rear light. Had to have some body repair done to rear bumper and repairers noticed water but they said not related to rear damage. They said it came from the area I described as this "gaiter" had split due to wear. They put a load of mastic around it which appeared to do the job, until recently. I've also put mastic sealant on but still getting damp. I don't think the seal around the light cluster has perished since have been driving in a lot of rain. So, still think it's this gaiter. I suppose I'll just have to take all the inner trim out, because the link is behind the trim, and hose the car down.
