Default Stupid ****** kids and their stupid ****** fireworks!

I was taking the dog out for a turn around the block last night about 10, and noticed some teenage kids hanging around at the top of the road.
I ignored them, but the dog gave them her, "I've got a full set of teeth and I'm not afraid to use 'em" growl. (Bless her, 13" tall, and she'd fight a tiger to protect us).
A few seconds later, a huge firework went off, firing into the sky. Then there was a yell of "****!" and the kids scattered as the firework fell over and starting shooting fireballs just above the ground.
It took me a few minutes to get the dog under control and to alert the neighbour who's garden had been the target for bombardment, luckily no damage done.
I kind of wish it had fired on the kids who set it off.

Why they sell fireworks in the 1st place is beyond me They should only be let off at an organised event, shouldn't be sold to Joe public, too many accidents happen, you'd of thought the government would've sorted it by now, but they just make adverts telling us not to play with them......

Its time that they were all banned, so that only licenced/organisers can use them. However, you can guarantee that anything that makes a bit of sense wont be put into effect by this government.

My wife and I used to dread haloween and bonfire time when we lived in Lancashire, it would'nt be so bad if they limited it to just one night or 2, but the idiots would be setting them off from the middle of October until the end of November. Many of the young people on some of the estates up there only need the slightest reason/excuse to create mayem, and of course this time of year is one such occasion. They used to think it was funny to stuff a few bangers up the exhaust of my car, if I'd forgotten to put it in the garage. Just totally senseless morons.
Also, almost every year at this time, one or 2 cars would also end up getting set fire to on the estate near to us... crazy.

Thank god... we dont have that now, no callers at all on halloween night and we can just about hear the odd firework going off somewhere if ones outside, but its obviously miles away. The way I like it.
I do however sympathise with those people who have to endure it every year, I know what its like. Its time it was stopped.

fireworks should be sold by liecenced shop keepers
they should only be sold 3 to 5 days before bonfire day
shopkeepers heaverly fined or even jailed for selling them to under aged people
age should be raised to 21 to buy fireworks.
as for banning them no i have to disagree.

on the plus side i think this year has been one of the quietest bonfire weeks ive ever known.

I don't get why people buy them anyways, its costs £100 for anything worth seeing, and its FREE to see them at most local events, its a no brainer for me.

Absolutely... I was amazed the other day while in one of the big stores, at the prices of fireworks today, AYS a small tiny box will set you back at least £25 and there's only a few in the box.

I noticed some of the single larger fireworks were as much as £25 each, they must be totally mad! Literally money up in smoke.

I asked about the half-penny bangers that one could get when I was young and it seems they dont do them any longer...

    Ban the lot of them!!

There was something on local radio this morning (BBC 3Counties) saying that the market's been tightened up to stop so many dodgy fireworks being sold in back street shops. As the owner of 2 cats and a dog, I just wish it was all over.
I'm sorry for anyone who lives in the Borehamwood/Elstree area, as they were queuing up in Tesco at lunchtime to buy 'em!
