Default New monitor

Has anyone got one of these PC monitors? Just bought one tonight. Very impressed so far. Can't wait to see what my Blu-ray player produces on it

Nah, I got one of these.

I know the HP one is nowhere in the same league, but £220 for a 22" display is a damn good price!

There are some really excellent monitor deals around at the moment, I personally dont like some of the cheaper TN panels that are often used in many of the cheaper monitors. They are fine if you just want to sit directly infront of the monitor but the viewing angles are not so good for viewing farther away for watching a movie etc, also most are just 6bit colour, thats how they manage to get the alleged fast 2ms panel speeds. There are however some excellent PVA panels around which have good wide viewing angles both horizontal and vertical for just slightly more, also they give you true 8bit colour. I think its worth spending a little extra on the monitor as its one of those items that you tend to keep for a while even though you may upgrade the other bits from time to time.

This the one I currently use and it is superb, has around seven inputs including HDMI, and the 4yr onsite next day swapout warranty is good too. Excellent value for money.

if its anything like the quality of the monitor on my HP laptop then it will be superb. I have to admit, for the price, the HP stuff is spot on.
