    Default ride quality

    Hi Peeps

Just wondering what would you say is the overal ride quality of your vectra?

I have a 2002 elite dti, and i have to say its very disapointing compared to my old 406. The front seems okay but the back is just so thumpy. Its got the standard 17 inch elite alloys. Took it today to kwik for wheel tracking and asked the 'young' lad there to check the rear suspension. HE couldnt find anything out. However its that bad , i think there must be something wrong. Is there are a common fault, or is this just a common thing with the vectras??

Ride quality is fine, a little firm as to be expected from a SRI.

Yes the elite is far to soft and wollowy.
I'd stick sri springs or even eibachs on it.

Mine is firm alround with it being the SRI but nothing to moan about. The biggest problem is the badly maintained roads which can make you think that your suspension is duff

Yep, as Shan says, get the suspension modded. You'll notice a boatload of difference

guys I think you misunderstood me. Mine is not soft, it is too hard from the back. If it goes over a small stone on the road you can feel it. wife complains its a boneshaker at the back. Personally I wouldn't mind having a bit of a soft ride. any ideas what could be wrong??

    p.s. road rolling is perfect!

    thanks

Rear shockers generally fail, which on mine caused the rear to thump and wallop.

I had a 406 before the Vectra & it is abit harder but mine has 18" Wheels + lowered suspension
Over all the Vectra has a better set up, firm but smooth
