    Default Network Q Assistance

As you know I have just bought an 05 Vectra 2.2 Direct Sri, its got full network Q for a year as well as manufacturers warranty for the remaing two years. Network Q have sent me a letter explaining that because I have just bought the car and it's less than a year old, they can double up the warranty so that instead of having a year, I can have two years assistance, which includes european cover (which I dont need) for £12 a month.

The question is, would you opt for this or do you think that the manufactures warranty is good enough. Has anyone opted for this on their cars and what does it include in everyday terms. .

I'd go with the Network Q warranty mate, so long as the covers not reduced in the second year. The Vauxhall warranty after the first year is cr4p to be perfectly honest.

well, in years 2 & 3 the vauxhall warranty drops a lot of useful parts, wheras the netQ covers everything from worn brakes and clutches to tears on trim etc. If its still the same cover in year 2 as it is in year one, i'd say its worth it.

I opted for it on both our cars.. Saved a fortune already.. The dealer will try and dodge the problem on the standard warranty, but when I mention newtwork Q they normally take some interest..

Your's was £12.. The gsi is only £9..??

Hmmm...I think there may be some confusion here, Network Q assistance is the recovery service (AA) IIRC not the warranty.

Network Q sent us letter's offering to extend the roadside cover and the full warranty package for an additional 12 months for £9.00 a month.. With their labour rate's I've bitten their arm off.. and this is a man who does all his own repairs and servicing normally..

£12 a month for my manufacturer's warranty to be upgraded with network Q top Up extended which provides me with the following benefits

    Full Network Q Assistance
    Cover When Travelling in Europe
    Mot Test Guarantee
Comprehensive Protection - Parts and labour - with unlimited mileage cover
Contribution towards vehicle hire while my car is off the road
Free Guarentee transfer, adding to my vehicle's value

A little more details from the letter. At the moment things are looking towards taking up the cover. thanks lads for the quick response.

Has any body had different prices for the cover, is it due to the engines???
