Default Insignia Touring i want one!

Has anyone driven the new insignia touring I saw one on the Vx website, looks great. I haven't seen any insignias on the road at all yet though. Looking at the price list for the new ones they do look a bit pricey so might have to wait 6 months.

You won't see the tourer for a while - it doesn't launch until Sep/Oct next year. The one that we saw at the Insignia day at Millbrook on the stage/platform is apparently the only one around at the moment - and I'm not even sure if that was a working version i.e. whether it drove or it was only the electrics that were operational.

It did look really nice at Millbrook, better looking than the saloon/hatch. I'm sure that it drove out from behind the doors onto the turntable stage, so it must be powered somehow but you couldn't hear any engine noise probably because of the background music.

I think that will be the Signum replacement for me in about three/four years.

It's listed in the auto express as being released end of 2009.

According to Auto Express magazine, the next Signum will come with a 4WD configuration and possible hybrid drivetrain. It will also be positioned more up-market, and will include large alloy wheels, a panoramic glass roof and coupe-like styling. Powering the new crossover will be two twin-turbo V6 engines displacing 2.8L and 3.4L, delivering 250hp and 325hp respectively. These will be followed soon after with a turbodiesel variant.

Now that sounds tasty, but I'd also heard that there wouldn't be one. But with other manufacturers, BMW etc making these coupe/4x4 crossovers then I'm sure there will be a market if the Signum follows that design style.
