Don't see an issue with the cosmetics but I'm really surprised you got away with a box for nothing. Well done.

virtualy all standard car insurance policies will not cover modifications, you need to get you insurance with a specialist insurance company to get the mods covered,my car is an awkward one in that it has 18" alloys that are factory fitted (16" as standard) with lowered sport suspension (comes as a package with the 18" wheels),my insurance company charged me extra for that but i dont know what would happen if i was to claim as the car is "standard" and the wheels on vauxhalls epc is listed as 18"

Can't risk losing all my mods so mine is like for like, although I doubt I'd get anything close to what I'd expect due to the depreciation and the mileage of the car.

Which gets me thinking, my insurance is over valued on the policy(I chose to do this), so will I get what it's insured for or what it's valued at by the insurer?
