    Default Map light help

Just bought the map reading light upgrade from lmf. Has anyone one here done this mod or taken there existing one off? Is there anything I need to know about this to fit it, and is it just plug and play? Also the pic has 4 switches but my mate has the gsi with light fitted and it only has the 3, so what is the fourth one for?

I looked at getting one of these and asked LMF what the fourth button was for. They said it was to turn all the lights on / off.

If you've got kids that won't go to sleep on long (nighttime) journeys, you can switch their (rear reading) lights off!

Really easy to do mate, just a couple of torx screws to take out, the whole thing then unclips, front first then pull it down, ( the glass just pulls out, as does the blank plate where the sunglasses holder goes) unplug and plug the new one in and push into hole, replace torxs and Roberts your Mums brother ... Make sure you push the plug right home as I didn`t and got a safeguard error and had to take it apart again, not so easy with the sunglasses holder in place ...

The four buttons, end ones are for each map light, middle two are 1 for on/off the other is an off so the light doesn`t come on with the doors ....

Just did this upgrade (after sifting through this ace forum and getting some tips!).
Just to help anyone else that does it, I plugged everything in and had "Safeguard" appear on the computer. After a lot of connection testing I finally tried setting and unsetting the alarm.
Seemed to reset the system, all working great now.

Rear interior light will be next mod.

    Cheers P
