    Default auxilaryheating

    hi guys...just brought vectra 1.8 elite 2002 model and i dont know if its got auxilary heating....checked on the display and cant find it...thought this would come as standard on an elite model

    Don't think this was ever available on UK spec cars.

    so when i brought the car and they told me it had auxilary heating....he was lying? does anyone have this gadget in their car?

    If you have climate control press the ( ithink it is the auto button) when the engine is switched off. You should then the words " Residual air conditioning on" On the multi function screen. The heater will then blow either hot" aircon" or heat, depending on how it was last set, this will run untill the heater/aircon is exausted.
    PS the car needs to have been used for a while for this function to run. It will not work on a cold "engine".

    basically then its just a function that blows hot or cold air into the car after turning off for a short while

    thought so it would be nice to have a remote start as standard so car would be nice and warm to go out to in a cold morning

    That would be a nice idea.Providing the doors were still locked. But I dare say we have a law in this country restricting you running the engine in a stuation like that?.

    so in the owners manual where it says it uses a pre heating unit with a glow plug,so it can use the fuel to heat the car up before the engine even starts,and in the menu you can set what time it comes on
