    confused Need a bit of advice PLEASE.

    I have got a 06 plate 1.8 sri, i beleive its the vvt... when i am giving it some wellie it seems to have a big power boost at 4500revs is this normal??? it does it in every gear and with my new inductoin kit u can really hear a big difference in power after 4500.

    Is this the VVT part kicking in, does VVT stand for Variable Valve Timing.
    The honda civic Type R is a simular setup but of course alot better and my wifes ex Focus st170 worked on the same idea. High revs makes max power

    Could be.. i was just wondering if it could be altred to kick in lower down the revs

    The VVT part is correct my 1.8VVT does the same at around 4500 revs big surge in power, however the airbox and intake mods do help to improve the power lower down.

    with my induction kit on my 3.2 does something similar at around 3000 revs but not as much with just the normal air box in
