    Default Handbrake recall...........

Got my letter this morning, rang the dealer expecting long delays and hassle, but.........they said bring it down before 12 noon and we'll do it while you wait.
10 mins start to finish, just need to pop back on Mon to have the repair signed off by a second mechanic as there was only one there today and the repair has to checked and confirmed by two.

    Nice one!

Mine was done this week, whilst they were replacing the fuel pressure regulator that died on Wednesday afternoon

Used Perry's in Bury, and credit where it's due they were great

Took mine in to the dealers to have the headlights realigned and left it with for 1 hour. Came back and they said they had done the handbrake recall while it was in. Not sure if they done the headlight realignment tho as it still seems off! (W Grose,Northampton)

Well my experience today has restored a little faith in main stealers. Did watch the work as it happened though, not sure yet if I'd trust my pride and joy out of sight with a MasterFit greasemonkey.......lol

My Vectra direct has just had its second new fuel pump and regulator fitted, whilst it was at the dealers I asked about the handbrake recall and was told it needed the mod doing.
I have written to Vauxhall complaining about the 2 x fuel pump and regulator failures and the fact I have not received a recall notice for the handbrake and a Vauxhall Executive Support Manager has informed me that the handbrake issue is not a recall, but is part of a 'Customer Satisfaction Programme'.
Can anyone who has recieved a recall letter please confirm whether it states it is an actual recall. Is it also correct that after being fitted it should be double checked by another 'technician'?

Well thats a **** up, your VX dealer is as good as mine!

Wonder what would happen if you put a claim in for damage to VX as your car had rolled down a hill???
