window tints

hi guys & girls looking to tint the the vecs windows in the next few months not for the pose factor but more of a security issue and to keep the sun out of the car for the kids in the back. just wondering if any body has pics of there vec c with tints on them. and has anybody tryed to tint there windows there self or is it best to leave it to the pros any ideas would be appreciated

not done it myself yet but is one of the next on the list but not to dark,don't want to atrract the likes of MLC and his colleges

I've tinted mine mate. It's best to get the pro's to do it in my opinion, as you don't want any bubble or creases etc.

aja do you now how dark to go to be on the right side of the law and i want it to look subtle. but i do like your tints mate they do suit the vec

If you've got an SRi you are already at the legal limit on the front windows. I've added a 50% tint to the front door windows and a 30% tint to all the rears. I've had traffic police give an appreciative nod at my car.

I'd say always leave it to the professionals who hve the best quality film and glue and the right tools for the job. I've seen so many DIY efforts and there are always bubbles or creases... the only downside is that a good tint will cost anywhere around £200.

leave it to the pro's m8 (well I did) - shop around you should be able to get a price for all 4 side and rear window for £200 or less. AND you should get something like a 5 year guarantee thrown in too.

as a second option you could check and see how much it would cost you to have the pull-up blinds fitted (as in the picture of my car below) to the rear doors, assuming Vx can still do them.

window tints is next on my list, the front legally cannot be changed, windscreen/front doors but the rear can be as dar as you want. personally ill be going for a 50% for the rears - should looks good against the dark car..
