    Default Is it my dealer??

Following on from this thread here.

I emailed the sellers of the fob and horse shoe parts of the keys I'd received and they kindly sent me another set of each.

The guy who sent me the horse shoe blade with transponder said that it was brand new (the transponder chip was ready to program) Reckons he's sold hundred's of them without problem.

The guy who sold me the fob even went through a couple of boxes of keys to find an exact match (part numbers)

I have now visited VX twice and they have been unable to program both keys saying that tech 2 gives a message of "invalid transponder key"

Is there anyone here that can program these two keys for me (I will of-course pay them). I have 2 keys already but need three, I can post one of my originals off with the spares, so it can be programmed.

I have spent a small fortune on parts, delivery and two visits to Vauxhall.
My local VX dealer Hutchins in Trefforest (south wales) just seems really un-helpful. All they wanted to do was sell me another key at £51.00 + programming.

Can anybody please help me here. I'm feeling really p1ssed off and let down now.

    M

    Just a quick update....

Just come off the phone to VX Customer Services.

The gent that I spoke to said that as long as there was a new transponder chip in the key, the dealer WOULD be able to program the key. As long as the key was the same type. (which it is.... 3 button LOCK, UNLOCK and TAILGATE)

Was told in a round about way that the dealer probably didn't know how to do it!

Customer Services will contact them, speak to the service manager and tell him how to do it. Then call me to book it back in.

    Does this happen very often?
Hope nothing major goes wrong with the car!!!
