Default Parrot LS 3200 Car Phone Kit Pics

Hi All, Just thought I would post pictures of my Parrot LS 3200 Bluetooth car phone kit.

Its completely wired into the car stereo speakers and can take up to 5 Bluetooth phone connections.

I'll get some night time shots tonight and post them later..

No, although it looks straight forward, apparently it isnt...

I got a 'so called professional installation outlet' to fit mine.

    1) On the installation day they discovered they didnt have the right cable. So couldnt fit it until the correct cable was delivered.
    2) As I needed it fitted, I volunteering to drive over to their cable warehouse (20 miles away) to get the right cable. Only to find when I arrived back, that they had given me the wrong cable.
    3) So I drove back again to get the right cable.
    4) Then the installation engineer couldnt find a '12 volt live' to connect the Parrat to. Apparently these new cars work on low voltage 'data' cabling. So instead of a 1 hour installation which I was quoted. I was there all day.
    5) Then they couldnt get the unit to work with my phone as it was preinstalled with the wrong software version. They didnt have an up to date laptop so couldnt upgrade it.
    6) I had to download the latest software version myself, install it on my laptop, take it out to the car and upload the latest software version myself using a bluetooth dongle.

I got £40 off the installation which paid for petrol but that was it....

Also, I have noticed now, that when I turn my heater fan off, the unit turns off. So they must have wired it to the fan switch

Looks good though, and it does work well. I think they only cost around £150, maybe cheaper on the internet...

It should be wired to an ignition live. Try the ciggy lighter...or light in the glove box.

They should've been able to pick up a permanent, or ignition switched, 12v live from the wires going into the back of the headlight switch - or is that not the case on the facelifts?

Fitted mine myself used the cig lighter for the live. You dont need the lead eather just split the block that goes in the back of the sterio insert the parrot and hey presto. Local guy quoted me 40 quid to fit but did it myself with a bit of help from here! Cost me 55 pounds of internet.

My company are paying to have another company fit a Parrot to my car when it is delivered. They had better not screw it up.
