    Default CV Boots - Help needed

    Both inner boots need replacing on my V6 CDTi auto, 53 plate, just called Vaux and they say i have to buy the complete joint to have these - can someone please help with the below-

    1. Is this true
    2. where can I get just the boots from
    3. do I need to replace the auto box oil

    Complete joint ...there having a laugh pal..you can buy cv gaitors which come with a repair kit for about £15,thay will have to split the drive shafts though.

    No need to replace Gear box oil.

    Just what I was thinking unless the auto box set up is different. I bought this last year cost me £15 from dealer.





    As said your 3.0l v6 auto may be different but a full CV with boots only costs about 25-30 quid (not from dealer) and if I can get boots separate then I'm sure you can for your lump.

    its amazing, 1 dealer says I need to buy complete kit, so phoned another and hey presto - I dont. Got part number phoned back the 1st dealer low and behold - oh yes sir that kit is available!! either the parts guys are practically useless or they're trying it on.

    Anyway all sorted, now just gotta fit em

    Parts guys a dealers are complete cr@p. I always go in armed with part numbers. Glad you got it sorted.
