Default Old Version's Vs New Version's

Now, i as a rule cannot stand new modern versions of some songs, the older originals for me, always stand the test of time...

Utah Saints Something Good is a good recent example, as the newer 08 version just doesnt do it for me, Madonna trying to redo Amercian Pie a few years back, The FBI should have given Don Maclean a Machine Gun and authorised him to kill her for murdering it....

However, only yesterday, all my thoughts and theories have been blown away......

Have you heard Adele's version of Make You Feel My Love!!

I cannot praise this girls version of this song highly enough, and many have tried to do a version of it, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, Garth Brooks, Kelly Clarkson, Joan Osbourne, Adele blows them all away!!

For me the ultimate remake is Led Zepplin Stairway to Heaven.
Not the original, but the live version, what a song and
    it sounds great played life.

Randy Crawford did Whose Crying Now by Journey, both good versions, but to pick one you'd only go for the artist you liked best, which for me was Journey.
