trouble re-entering security code (ccr 2006)

Had to have a new battery fitted today , after reconnection found i had no stereo system that was even with data store plug installed
now the problem i am having is reprogramming sequence seems to work fine upto re-entering security code does anyone know what status the radio has to be in to except the codes

No doubt you have read the radio manual. I have the book infront of me and it say,s Switch the ignition ON and switch the radio OFF (ie the big volume "knob"). Is that the "mode" you are looking for?? Then you press the AS button and at the same time press the NO button( big "knob"" used to turn if off before.
You will hear a conformation Bleep. then the word CODE appears on the screen.
The enter the code number as required.

When finished don't forget to press the AS button again until you hear a beep,thats what mine does on my CDR2005.......
